Nevada sheriff announces feds to reopen land and end standoff with Cliven Bundy
April 12, 2014
The Infowars exclusive yesterday exposing U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) involvement in the Bureau of Land Management’s land grab, which was meant to push out American ranchers such as Cliven Bundy in order to make way for Chinese solar farms, was the #1 news story in the entire world over the past 24 hours thanks to the Drudge Report and others, forcing the BLM to retreat from the standoff.
The article, Breaking: Sen. Harry Reid Behind BLM Land Grab of Bundy Ranch, revealed that Sen. Reid was directly destroying the livelihoods of hard-working American ranchers in order to profit from future deals with Chinese energy firms and was shared on Facebook over 44,000 times, Twitter over 34,000 times and was even shared on the professional networking site LinkedIn.
And it worked. Today the Sheriff of Clark Co., Douglas Gillespie, announced that the BLM would retreat from its standoff with cattle rancher Cliven Bundy. The BLM has even replaced the “Cattle Crossing” signs that they had previous taken down from public roads.
No doubt that the feds realized that they could not win the public relations war after the public discovered that this land grab was for a solar farm.
Now this could be a ruse for the time being to get the crowds to leave so the feds can continue its criminal operation later, but Alex Jones doubts that because they have definitely lost the moral high-ground.
This is a HUGE victory that shows what We the People can do.
Feds Back Down In New Bundy Standoff, Agree to Release Cattle
Epic confrontation “like something out of a movie”

In an epic standoff that Infowars reporter David Knight described as being like “something out of a movie,” supporters of Nevada cattle rancher Cliven Bundy advanced on a position held by BLM agents despite threats that they would be shot at, eventually forcing BLM feds to release 100 cattle that had been stolen from Bundy as part of a land grab dispute that threatened to escalate into a Waco-style confrontation.
Despite the fact that Bureau of Land Management officials agreed to cease their operation to seize Bundy’s cattle after a massive public backlash, Bundy demanded that Sheriff Douglas Gillespie disarm BLM officials and return his stolen cows.
When this didn’t happen, hundreds of Bundy supporters, including cowboys on horseback, descended on a nearby cattle pen outside of Mesquite where the seized cows were being held.
In a tense standoff, armed BLM feds, backed up by at least one SWAT team, threatened to shoot at Bundy supporters if they marched any closer to a line of vehicles.
Infowars reporter David Knight, who was at the head of the march, described the scene as like the moment from V For Vendetta when the military is forced to stand down.
Despite threats such as “one more step and you’re dead,” the protesters continued their slow march towards BLM agents as bullhorns blared.
Refusing to back down, the protesters marched straight past the armed men and towards the cattle pen.
Sheriff Gillespie eventually appeared to inform Bundy supporters that the BLM had finally caved and agreed to release the 100 cattle they had seized that were inside the pen.
After around 30 minutes, Bundy supporters saw the cattle being released about a mile away in the distance.
It cannot be overstated how much of a gargantuan victory this represents for the American people in their battle against big government tyranny.
“The people have the power when they unite,” Ammon Bundy told the Las Vegas Review Journal. “The war has just begun.”

BLM attempted cover-up of Sen. Reid/Chinese gov’t takeover of ranch for solar farm

The Bureau of Land Management, whose Acting Deputy Director was Sen. Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) former senior adviser, has purged documents from its web site stating that the agency wants Nevada rancher Clive Bundy’s cattle off of the land his family has worked for over 140 years in order to make way for solar panel power stations.
Deleted from BLM.gov but reposted for prosperity by the Free Republic, the BLM document entitled “Cattle Trespass Impacts” directly states that Bundy’s cattle “impacts” solar development, more specifically the construction of “utility-scale solar power generation facilities” on “public lands.”
“Non-Governmental Organizations have expressed concern that the regional mitigation strategy for the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone utilizes Gold Butte as the location for offsite mitigation for impacts from solar development, and that those restoration activities are not durable with the presence of trespass cattle,” the document states.
Another BLM report entitled Regional Mitigation Strategy for the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone (BLM Technical Note 444) reveals that Bundy’s land in question is within the “Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone and surrounding area” which is part of a broad U.S. Department of Energy program for “Solar Energy Development in Six Southwestern States” on land “managed” by BLM.
“In 2012, the BLM and the U.S. Department of Energy published the Final Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) for Solar Energy Development in Six Southwestern States,” the report reads. “The Final Solar Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement assessed the impact of utility-scale solar energy development on public lands in the six southwestern states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah.”
“The Approved Resource Management Plan Amendments/Record of Decision (ROD) for Solar Energy Development in Six Southwestern States implemented a comprehensive solar energy program for public lands in those states and incorporated land use allocations and programmatic and SEZ-specific design features into land use plans in the six-state study area.”
In 2012, the New American reported that Harry Reid’s son, Rory Reid, was the chief representative for a Chinese energy firm planning to build a $5-billion solar plant on public land in Laughlin, Nevada.
And journalist Marcus Stern with Reuters also reported that Sen. Reid was heavily involved in the deal as well.
“[Reid] and his oldest son, Rory, are both involved in an effort by a Chinese energy giant, ENN Energy Group, to build a $5 billion solar farm and panel manufacturing plant in the southern Nevada desert,” he wrote. “Reid has been one of the project’s most prominent advocates, helping recruit the company during a 2011 trip to China and applying his political muscle on behalf of the project in Nevada.”
“His son, a lawyer with a prominent Las Vegas firm that is representing ENN, helped it locate a 9,000-acre (3,600-hectare) desert site that it is buying well below appraised value from Clark County, where Rory Reid formerly chaired the county commission.”
Although these reports are in plain view, the mainstream media has so far ignored this link.
The BLM’s official reason for encircling the Bundy family with sniper teams and helicopters was to protect the endangered desert tortoise, which the agency has previously been killing in mass due to “budget constraints.”
“A tortoise isn’t the reason why BLM is harassing a 67 year-old rancher; they want his land,” journalist Dana Loesch wrote. “The tortoise wasn’t of concern when [U.S. Senator] Harry Reid worked with BLM to literally change the boundaries of the tortoise’s habitat to accommodate the development of his top donor, Harvey Whittemore.”
“Reid is accused of using the new BLM chief as a puppet to control Nevada land (already over 84% of which is owned by the federal government) and pay back special interests,” she added. “BLM has proven that they’ve a situational concern for the desert tortoise as they’ve had no problem waiving their rules concerning wind or solar power development. Clearly these developments have vastly affected a tortoise habitat more than a century-old, quasi-homesteading grazing area.”
“If only Clive Bundy were a big Reid donor.”
Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) said today that Americans need to stand up to “a deliberate plan by the president of the United States” to collapse the nation’s law enforcement system regarding illegal immigration.
In a Senate speech, Sessions said:
"Our law enforcement system is in a state of collapse, and it’s a deliberate plan by the president of the United States, and it’s wrong. And, people need to be aware of it and need to stand up to it and I believe the American people are beginning to do so."….

Clark County Commissioner Tom Collins has caused outrage by remarking that Utahns planning to travel to Nevada to support Cliven Bundy in his standoff against the feds “better have funeral plans”.

The comments were revealed by Darin Bushman, a Piute County, Utah, commissioner after he spoke with Collins about Utah ranchers and his colleagues on the County Commission complaining about tactics used by Bureau of Land Management agents during their seizure of Bundy’s cattle in southern Nevada….
In a calculated effort to test the historical and political amnesia of the American public and simultaneously play a frayed race card, Obama’s Attorney General, Eric Holder, has decried his treatment at the hands of a House Judiciary Committee hearing earlier in the week.
MSNBC frames the meme: it’s all about race.
The Obama administration continually plays the race card when confronted with political opposition and accusations of impropriety.
Holder asked “what attorney general has had to deal with that kind of treatment?” following a pointed exchange with Rep. Louie Gohmert, a Texas Republican.
“I realize that contempt is not a big deal to our attorney general, but it is important that we have proper oversight,” Gohmert remarked as Holder weathered questions about the Justice Department’s stonewalling of handing over documents related to the prosecution of a Texas-based Islamic charity.
Although not specifically stated, Holder accused Gohmert and the Republicans of picking on him due to the color of his skin. This was underscored by the fact he complained about his treatment while attending Al Sharpton’s National Action Network.
In fact, a large number of federal government bureaucrats, including former Attorney General Janet Reno, have weathered contempt of Congress charges with far less theatrics.
Since 1975, these have included a Secretary of State; a Secretary of Commerce; a Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare; a couple Secretaries of Energy; a Secretary of the Interior; various officials of the EPA; a White House Counsel and a White House Chief of Staff. On Thursday, the House Oversight Committee added to this list of ignobility by voting to hold former IRS Director of Tax Exempt Organizations Lois Lerner in contempt of Congress.
In 1975, Nixon’s former Attorney General, John Mitchell, endured a far worse fate than Eric Holder ever will – he was sentenced to two and a half to eight years in prison for his role in the Watergate break-in and cover-up. Mitchell’s sentence was subsequently reduced and he served 19 months before he was released on parole for medical reasons.
Mitchell’s crimes of conspiracy, obstruction of justice, and perjury, however, pale in comparison to Eric Holder’s criminal complicity at the Justice Department. Florida Republican Rep. Allen West and others have pointed to Holder’s attempt to subvert a congressional investigation into Operation Fast and Furious and Project Gunrunner. Fast and Furious led to a number of murders.
Holder’s tiff while questioned before the House Judiciary Committee amply demonstrates the continued collapse of the Obama administration – from Obama’s willful violations of the Constitution to an extraordinary number of scandals from Fast and Furious to the IRS political hit squad – and it also demonstrates the threat such an unprecedented crash and burn represents.
A nearly 400-pound unmanned aerial vehicle crash-landed near an elementary school in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania on Thursday afternoon, irritating members of the community and alarming civil liberties advocates nervous about drones flying over the US.
The drone, an RQ-7 Shadow, is 11 feet long with a 14 foot wingspan. Why it was flying in the air above Lickdale Elemantary School is unknown, but Major Ed Shank, a public affairs officer for the Pennsylvania National Guard, told Les Stewart of the Lebanon Daily News that drones operate out of Fort Indiantown Gap, an Army post in Lebanon County.
The 375-pound craft endured what officials called a “hard landing” before being run over by a civilian vehicle. No one was hurt in the incident, but the drone – reportedly worth $150,000 – was a “total loss” and rendered useless after slamming into the ground…
